Milton C. Phipps

Milton Conrad Phipps of Los Fresnos, Texas formerly of Estacada, Ore., died at peacefully at Spanish Meadows of Brownsville after a long illness. He was 84.

He was a 1959 graduate of Madison High School in Portland, Ore. A veteran of US Army and Army Reserves, reaching the rank of master sergeant, Milton was a long-time employee of US West telephone company, retiring in 19XX.

Milton retired to the Rio Grande Valley with his wife Sally and enjoyed his many friendships at the San Benito Elks Lodge.

In addition to Sally, he is survived by two daughters Melanie Nelson of Laguna Vista and LeAnn Huddleston of Palm Valley, a brother John Phipps and a sister Patricia Hodges, both of Portland, Ore., and a granddaughter.

He is the son of the late John and Pina Phipps of Oregon.

Burial was private.
