Mario Garcia Ruiz 78, passed away early Friday morning, May 20, 2022, at his residence surrounded by family.

Mario was born on May 11, 1944 in Rancho La Rosita in Matamoros Tamaulipas, Mexico to Manuel Ruiz Cantu & Amelia Garcia de Ruiz. Mario enjoyed reading and was a retired Pastor of twenty-eight years serving in the Apostalic Assembly Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel Ruiz Cantu and Amelia Garcia De Ruiz, his brothers Gerardo Ruiz, and Hector Ruiz.

Mario is survived by his wife Eva Ruiz, his daughters Cynthia Perez (Julio Romo), and Esmeralda Ruiz Perez (Sergio Perez), four grandchildren: Cesar Romo, Wendy Romo, Jessica O. Perez, and Sergio Perez, Jr.

Visitation will be Monday, May 23, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm.  The Funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home, 1005 S. Arroyo Blvd. Los Fresnos, Texas. Burial will follow at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, Texas.

Honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Sergio Perez Sr., Sergio Perez Jr., Roberto Farias Jr., Guilibaldo Ruiz Jr., Mario Castillo, Rashid El Akhdari, Franke Melgoza, and Marco Melgoza.
