Maria Elena Lopez

Maria Elena Lopez 73 passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on November 12, 1949, to Rogerio Tapia and Dionicia Gomez Tapia.

Maria Elena was a graduate of Los Fresnos High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Maria Elena was of the Catholic faith and dedicated her life as a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rogerio & Dionicia Tapia, brother Jose Angel Tapia, sisters: Rebecca Tapia, Aurora Cisneros, Martina Munoz, and Eva Delgado.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Adan Lopez, Jr., her children: Esteban (Alma) Lopez, Patricia Lopez, and Jessica (Jose T.) De la Fuente; grandchildren: Rey M. De Leon, Leonardo A. De Leon, Christian Alvarado, Sebastian T. De la Fuente, and Santiago T. De la Fuente. Her sister Raquel (Francisco) Camacho, and numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m.

Honorary pallbearers will be Esteban T. Lopez, Christian Alvarado, Rey M. De Leon, Leonardo A. De Leon, Jose T. De la Fuente, Sebastian T. De la Fuente, Santiago T. De la Fuente, and Andres Rivera.
