Marcela A. Garza, 62, of Los Fresnos, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 30, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved beyond measure.
Born on August 26, 1964, in Raymondville, Texas, to Omar and Eva Anguiano, Marcela lived a life distinguished by extraordinary faith, unwavering devotion, and a profound love for others. She shared an especially beautiful bond with her beloved mother, Eva, a gentle and loving matriarch of faith whose devotion to God and family left a lasting legacy across generations.
At the age of sixteen, she married the love of her life, Abel Garza. Their forty-six years together were a beautiful testament to enduring love, faith, and commitment. Together, they raised six children and built a home where family was cherished, faith was cultivated, and love was generously given.
A devoted pastor’s wife and faithful servant of Jesus Christ, Marcela served alongside her husband in establishing and ministering to their church in Los Fresnos. She was a passionate worshipper, a woman of prayer, and a source of spiritual strength and encouragement to countless lives.
Above all, Marcela treasured her family. Her children, sons- and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews were among her greatest joys. She possessed a remarkable gift for making each person feel deeply loved and uniquely special.
Even through her courageous battle with cancer, Marcela remained steadfast in her faith, inspiring thousands through her testimony and her enduring declaration: “You will see what God’s going to do.”
She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Abel Garza; their six children, Marisa, Abel, Steven, Myra, Brenda, and Gabriel; her beloved sons- and daughters-in-law, Michael, Daniel, David, Michelle, and Adrianna; and her twenty cherished grandchildren: Jadon, Malachi, Melody, Amos, Cassidy, Ella, Steven, Enoch, Eli, Eliyon, Eliyonna, Ezequiel, Kaily, Penelope, Abel Samuel, Elany Marcela, Gabriel, Adrianna, Destiny, and Brenda.
She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Janie, Melanie, Judy, Maggie, Ana, Ibisema, and Belen; her brother, Jessy; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Omar and Eva Anguiano; her twin brother, Omar; and her precious grandson, Stevie Boy, who passed away at the tender age of three and forever held a treasured place in her heart.
Marcela peacefully departed this life in the arms of her beloved husband, surrounded by the voices and love of her children.
Her legacy of faith, compassion, and devotion will continue through the generations she so deeply loved.
