Jess Wilson Helm, Jr.

Jess Wilson Helm Jr., age 87, of Bayview, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026. Born on October 5, 1938, in Oklahoma to Jess Clarence and Ila Helm, Jess dedicated many years to working as a cattle rancher, contributing to his community with hard work and commitment.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jess D. Helm; his parents, Jess Clarence and Ila Helm; and his infant grandson, Gavin T. Rudder II.

Jess is lovingly remembered by his children Joe D. Helm; his stepchildren Gina Barrera, Vicky Barrera, Judy B. Garza, and Bobby B. Lujan; as well as his grandchildren Ryan Helm, Aubrey L. Helm, Colt Helm, Ila S. Razo, Hanna Villarreal, Joe Villarreal, Olympia D. Stathopoulos, Jorel Garza, Logan Garza, Samantha L. Hernandez, Roberto Hernandez, and Anthony Hernandez.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Los Fresnos Funeral Home.
