Hilario Infante Gonzalez

Hilario Infante Gonzalez, a cherished and beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 87 on November 24, 2025, in the embrace of the Lord. Born on November 17, 1938, in Brownsville, Texas, Hilario leaves behind a remarkable legacy and many fond memories.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilario Gonzalez and Inez Infante; his beloved spouse, Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez; his brother, Armando Gonzalez; and his sisters, Marialena Ayala and Adela Moreno.

Hilario is survived by his loving children: Alfredo, Javier (Mary Lou), Susana (Robert), Graciela (Gaston), Ramon, and Claudia, along with 19 grandchildren, Alfred, Vanessa (Ernesto), Julie (Karen), Patty (Angelo), Denise (Gerardo), Leroy (Stephanie), Cynthia (David), Priscilla (Mando), Robert Jr., Raul (Fabiola), Bernardo (Mary), Juan, Ramon Jr. (Karla), Daniel (Jazmin), Daisy (Jorge), Hector III (Olivia), Mark (Kalissa), Michael, and Makayla; 41 great-grandchildren, Ashley (Isabel), Arnold, Allison, Luis Jr. (Elena), Fabian (Isiah), Jacob, Santiago, Brianna (Noah), Valeria, Alexis, Melanie, Robert III, Roger, Karina, Kibecca, Raul Jr., Randy, Karla (Damian), Abel, Diego, Danny Jr., Zoe, Chloe, Vicky, April, Byran, Alizee, Camelia, Emilia, Mariana, Levi, Liam, Leo, Leia, Luck, Angelo, Giovanni, Alyssa, Gerardo Jr., Sebastian, and Valeria, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor his memory. He is also survived by his brother, Gilberto Gonzalez, and his sisters, Udelia Garcia and Luly Partida.

Hilario loved spending his time fishing, a joy that he shared with his family, creating lasting bonds and joyful moments.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Los Fresnos Funeral Home. A chapel service will take place on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the same location, with interment thereafter at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Brownsville, Texas.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to those who will honor Hilario as pallbearers: Leroy Gonzalez, Hector Polendo III, Mark Fernandez, Michael Fernandez, Raul Flores, Roberto Flores, Ramon Gonzalez Jr., and Daniel Gonzalez. Honorary pallbearers include Luisito Pecina, Fabian Pecina, Jacob Pecina, Arnold Gonzalez, Byran Gonzalez, Raymond Cortinas, Raul Flores Jr., and Randy Flores.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Los Fresnos Funeral Home, located at 1005 S. Arroyo Blvd., Los Fresnos, Texas.

Hilario’s spirit and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
