Elvira T. Flores

Elvira T. Flores, 73, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in Brownsville, Texas. She was born on November 27, 1949, in Brownsville to Pedro and Bertha Lara Torres. Elvira worked for Levi’s in San Benito for many years. She loved to spend her time caring for her plants and cooking for her grandkids as it was her passion. Elvira was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witness Congregation in Los Fresnos, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Eduardo Flores, Sr.; brother, Alfredo Torres, Sr., and father, Pedro Torres.

Elvira is survived by her children, Juan E. Flores, Jr., Jose Manuel Flores (Esther), Eloy Flores (Lourdes), Cristina Flores Cardenas (Arnulfo), and Ernesto Flores (Isabel); 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Amparo Torres Flores (Lulu) who has always been by her side; and countless nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. at Los Fresnos Funeral Home in Los Fresnos, Texas.
