Dolores A. Vonohlen, 57 years of age passed away on August 1,2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. Dolores was born on August 20, 1964 in Brownsville, Texas to Samuel A. Avila and San Juana Zanmorano de Avila.
Dolores is preceded in death by Herman Carl Vonohlen (husband), Samuel A. Avila (father), Jose Ronaldo Avila(brother), Jose de Jesus Avila (brother), Manuel Avila (brother), Aurora Alegria Solitaire (grandmother).
Dolores went to UTB, was a part of the RGV cookaholics & MB’s Sazon Cooking Videos. She was a firm believer in God and enjoyed helping those in need. Dolores loved dancing, singing, cooking, and baking.
Left behind to cherish her loving memory are her children; Jennifer C. Nite (Scott), Daisy E. Avila, Erika Marie Salazar, Sergio Rene Salazar Jr.; grandchildren, Jewel R. Vonohlen-Lucero(Jakob), Americus C. Ortiz, Darren C. Ortiz, Kaylee M. Robles; uncle, Pedro Solitaire; Martha Sanchez (Arturo), Alvaro Salazar, Sergio Salazar (Sonia), Samuel Avila Jr.(Gracie), Aurora Ramirez, Alfredo Avila(Marisa), Juanita Kelly(Kenneth), Estefana Sanchez (Alonzo), Gilberto Avila, Ana Alicia Avila, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin on August 3, 2022 at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Los Fresnos, Texas from 1p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
