Christopher James De Leon

Christopher James De Leon, 27, of Laguna Vista, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in Laguna Heights. He was born August 1, 1995, in McAllen, Texas to James John De Leon, Jr. and Shannon Marie Colvin. Christopher enjoyed hanging out at the beach with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Crescencio and Francisca Solis, and Teresa A. Lara.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Shannon Colvin; brother, Colvin Wiltse; father, James John De Leon; brother, John Daniel De Leon; grandparents, Larry and Leticia Colvin, and James and Adela De Leon.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Los Fresnos Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., Port Isabel, Texas 78578. Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Harry Urey, Jr., Harry Urey III, Luis Alberto Villarreal, Juan Lara, Ruben Sierra, and Norris Vasquez. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Colvin, Colvin James Wiltse, James John De Leon, and Steven Wiltse.
