Arrdie Saul Tijerina

Arrdie Saul Tijerina, age 49, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. He was born on June 12, 1976, in Dade County, Florida, to Santos Tijerina and Elvira Martinez. Arrdie was a gifted musician, known for his performances alongside notable acts such as Ruben Vela, Siggno, and Evolucion.

He is preceded in death by Magdalena Yanez and his nephew, Jacob Anthony Acosta. Arrdie is survived by his devoted wife, Julie AlaTorre; their children, Alyssa Tijerina, Mariza Tijerina, and Ricky Tijerina; his father-in-law, Ben Nunez Sr., mother-in-law, Gloria C. Nunez; and siblings-in-law, Gloria Acosta (Arthur), Ben Nunez Jr., and Jennifer Longoria (Genaro).

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a service at 4:00 p.m. at Los Fresnos Funeral Home.

The following individuals will serve as honorary pallbearers: Jesse Turner, Ruben Vela Jr., Chris Ramirez, Oscar Ramirez, Arturo Castillo, Rick Masso, Joe Garcia, and Ben Garcia.

Arrdie’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Almeida, Heart of Angel Provider Services, and Safe Haven Hospice for their compassionate care during this time.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Los Fresnos Funeral Home, located at 1005 S. Arroyo Blvd., Los Fresnos, Texas.
