Amelia Garza

Amelia Garza 72 passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at a local hospital in Brownsville, Texas. Amelia was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico on August 27, 1949, to Manuel Rios and Maria Rios .

Amelia was a member of the Pentecostal Christian Church.  She enjoyed singing and buying lots of cloths.

She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel & Maria Rios.

Left to cherish her memory will be her husband Eliseo Garza, her children Sonia Garcia, Jose B. Fernandez, Jr., Davie Fernandez, and Esteban Fernandez. 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Her siblings: Jose Maria Rios, Elvia Rios, and Ludivina Garcia.

Services for Amelia are as followed: visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Los Fresnos.  Burial will follow at Las Palmas Cemetery in Brownsville, Texas

Honor to serve as pallbearers will be Eliseo Garza, Juan Garcia, Juan Garcia, Jr., Jose B. Fernandez, Jr. Jose D. Garcia, Jr., and Reynaldo Buendia, Jr.   Honorary pallbearer will be Davie Fernandez
