Alene Wilson

Alene Wilson, aged 96, of Los Fresnos, Texas, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Born on October 2, 1929, in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, to Otis and Ollie Goss, Alene led a life marked by dedication and love. She pursued a career in banking and was an active member of the Community of Christ Church. Alene cherished reading, sewing, and traveling, but above all, she treasured the time spent with her family. Her deep faith was evident in her love for the Lord, her devotion to reading the Bible, and her enjoyment of hymns.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Almon Wilson Jr.; her son, Danny Joe Wilson; her parents; and three siblings.

Alene leaves behind her daughters, Denise M. Wilson Leal (Valentin) and Debra J. Wilson Meyer (John); as well as ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren who will carry forward her memory.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Mary Herrera for her loving care and presence during Alene’s final years, recognizing her as a true blessing.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Los Fresnos Funeral Home, located at 1005 S. Arroyo Blvd., Los Fresnos, Texas.
